A student-led research and product prototype exploring how alternative data can build fairer credit systems for tech talent
CREDZO is a student-led research and product prototype exploring how alternative data can be used to build fairer credit systems for tech talent.
The project was started in 2025 by a high-school student passionate about economics, fintech, and talent development. The goal is to design and test a model where verified skills, projects, and income can meaningfully complement traditional credit metrics.
This is not a licensed financial institution—it's an academic and product exploration into the future of talent-based credit scoring.
Conceptual design of the Talent Credit Score framework
Mock dashboard and user flows for developers and lenders
Documentation of the scoring logic, assumptions, and limitations
A roadmap for how such a system could be piloted in real markets
CREDZO is not a licensed financial institution. It is an academic and product exploration into the future of talent-based credit. This project is designed to demonstrate research, product thinking, and systems design—not to provide actual financial services.
Traditional credit systems exclude millions of talented individuals who lack conventional financial history. This project explores how decentralized credentialing and alternative data could change that.
The mission is to research and prototype a system that provides financial institutions with reliable alternative data while giving developers credit access based on their verified abilities and achievements.

We envision a future where GitHub contributions, open-source projects, and verified technical skills carry the same weight as traditional credit scores.
Through blockchain verification and decentralized credentialing, we're researching how to build a transparent, fair, and inclusive financial ecosystem that rewards talent and potential over privilege and history.
CREDZO was created as a passion project to explore the intersection of fintech, economics, and talent development
Founder & Lead Researcher
A high school student passionate about economics, fintech, and solving real-world problems through technology. Started CREDZO to explore how alternative credit scoring could democratize financial access for underrepresented tech talent.
Academic Interests: Economics, Computer Science, Financial Technology, Behavioral Economics, and Systems Design
How this project was designed and what it aims to demonstrate
Researched existing alternative credit models, analyzed developer platforms, and designed a scoring framework based on verifiable data sources.
Created user flows, mock dashboards, and interface designs to demonstrate how such a system would work for developers and lenders.
Documented assumptions, limitations, and ethical considerations to show depth of thinking about real-world implementation challenges.
If you're viewing this as part of a college application, feel free to reach out with questions about the methodology, data sources, or research process behind CREDZO.
This project demonstrates research skills, product thinking, systems design, and a passion for solving real-world problems at the intersection of finance and technology.
